RESEARCH FACILITIES

IHE Delft was listed as one of the top 10 academic desalination research centers in the world according to Water Desalination Report, 2013.

IHE Delft has developed several methods for water quality assessment in various water matrices. For instance: particulate fouling assessment (MFI-0.45, MFI-UF constant pressure), organic and biological fouling assessment (TEP, ATP, BRP), a new method for phosphate measurement with low level of detection, scaling (induction time, scale guard, antiscalant smart dosing control), etc.

These methods provide engineer and operators with a tool in developing strategies to mitigate operational problems in desalination plants. Our methods are tested in pilot and full-scale desalination plants in several countries.
